Part IX - 3 Puzzles, 2 Rooms, 1 Ghost


3 Puzzles

I have added 3... puzzles? Puzzle is maybe a bit misleading, but there are 3 areas that have ability/skill gates now built in to the game. In fact I have a total of 8 areas. Some are more fleshed out than others, and most are fairly generic and straight forward.

The challenges I have designed so far are geared at introducing a new mechanic the player will get to start the game. Without this ability the adventurer can't truly start their adventure.

2 Rooms

So, I said I have about 8 areas, but 2 have been developed to near completion - at least for the jam. These 2 rooms are in the dungeon theme, and are the rooms where the player gains their first ability.


I also spent some time drawing a bunch of tiles for the dungeon background elements!

1 Ghost


This character, internally labeled "Ghost Lady," is a key NPC in the game. She only makes one appearance currently, but I hope to have time to make more use of her as the adventure progresses.

Whao... what happened? I think I blacked out. Eherm... So yeah, this video shows a glimpse of one of the mechanics in the game, the Time Manipulators.... they aren't called that in the game... but that's what they are I guess.

I think I need to get more sleep...
